For those of you who did a PIP form (or people you know, or helped with the forms)
From the moment you sent your PIP How your health affects you questionnaire back to them,
for cases where they gave you a decision 'without' you having to have an face to face assessment
(they wrote to you giving you you an award letter, on the basis you provided enough paper evidence, and they made you an award without a face to fact)
then,
1) How many weeks did they take to get back to you, with an award letter decision in the post (on which rates you get/ for how many years)
from the moment you sent your questionnaire back - how many weeks?
- - - -
2) and If they got back saying you do actually need a face to face assessment, then how many weeks From the time you sent your questionnaire back, to the moment they wrote to you about 'what date' your face to face was,
then how long was this wait?
NOTE:
I am not asking, how long it took, from the date you had your face to face assessment for them to get back to you for an award letter decision,
so please answer questions 1, 2, above.
Thank you

Impossible to give an accurate estimate as it varies so considerably. Also depends if your form is audited.
If you have just returned your form, you are far better either:
to try to relax and forget, or
to prepare yourself for a potential medical assessment - https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/help-with-your-claim/your-assessment/
My guess for 1) is 7.2 weeks
..................... 2) is 3.1 weeks.
Look at https://www.turn2us.org.uk/Benefit-guides/Claiming-Personal-Independence-Payment-(PIP)/Getting-a-PIP-decision
"Getting a PIP decision
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will make a decision on your PIP claim after the medical assessment has been completed.
The DWP's decision about your PIP entitlement is based on the information in:
Your claim form
The documents you sent with your claim form
The Health Professional's notes from the medical assessment
On average, it takes the DWP 12 weeks from the date you started your claim to make a decision. Some claims take less time, some take more."Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
My example, I was advised within 4 weeks.
My decision 'award' was in place within 3 weeks.
That's was my 1st ever tel decision without the need of face to face.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -

3 weeks was quick, howcome it took so quick in your example?
When was this? what year/month?
and what awards did you get?
and what evidence did you send with your claim?
