I have just downloaded adblockplus to my windows 10 computer running edge
I can find the program in add or remove programs but it has not installed any icons on the tool bar or desktop can anyone help

If I remember rightly it didn't show in mine at first. However, I've used uBlock Origin with Edge, since they made it compatible and you can toggle the button on?off in the settings. AB+ has a setting point to it in 'Extensions' and click on the cog.

There is nothing at all to do with
adblock on the screen

AdBlock Plus is in early development for Edge, so there might be "undesired side-effects on some sites".

It looks like AdBlock Plus will eventually be built-in to Edge:

But for now, maybe it would be easier to use a different browser...?

I've just installed it to check for you. Have you actually turned it on? This needs to be done post installation.
To check, click on the 3 dots, top right. From the drop down click 'Extensions'. Make sure it's turned on.
If you then click on the cog next to it you can check if the Show Button..is selected....
Apologies if you've tried all that. If so, try uninstalling it and then install it again or try UBlock Origin as your ad-blocker.

It doesn't appear on the desktop, you have to open Edge, it only appears in Edge.
