DLA and CHC

Hello
My daughter currently gets ESA and is entitled to DLA but does not receive it as she is in a CHC funded residential nursing home.
In her previous home, all transport was paid for if she wanted to go out or for hospital appointments, etc. In her new home, she has to pay for transport for social events. Recently she had to pay £175 for a taxi for her sister's wedding.
My question is - is she now entitled to claim for the mobility part of DLA (or rather me on her behalf)?

"The mobility component of DLA is not affected by admission to a care home, unless your place is funded (usually in full) by NHS continuing healthcare funding, "

Hi.
My mum has had to go into a nursing home recently, she lost the mobility award of DLA as the CHC element has replaced it.
Now she gets Social services rate, the nursing home award from CHC and her contribution from pension. This leaves her with the weekly allowance of roughly £24.
So if your daughter is a nursing home and CHC is paying the nursing element, about £150, or full amount she will no longer get the mobility award of DLA.
Hope this helps!I wish I knew more than I do!!
