Parking space misrepresentation in lease hold flat

I!!!8217;d be furious if I paid a premium for a parking spot then found out people where parking there for free0

I thought originally only some were allocated and rest were fine to use, as that's what I'd been told by owner/estate agent. Some owners had put their own signs up to indicate which were theres.
Only when I contacted the management company about the fine did I discover that all spaces were in fact allocated. But like I said, the car park was half empty all year round and with the information I had at the time thought we were aloud to use.
Anyway, I just had the wrong information, should have obviously got my solicitor to do more digging when I bought (wont make that mistake again!) but also shouldn't have been given false information from previous owner.0 -
These statements contradict each other. Are there guest spaces or not? Do the spaces that you used to park in look any different to ones that you know are allocated to a specific flat?
If the carpark is usually half empty, could you buy or rent a space off someone who doesn't use it?
And yes I'm asking around about potentially renting on a long term basis, would help a lot in terms of resale.0 -

To be fair, if anyone had asked you until recently you'd also have passed on the same information in good faith. Perhaps the previous owner was also unaware and just hadn't been "caught" yet?
Yes entirely possible, either it was an innocent mistake or she just hoped she could get away with slightly misleading info to increase the value of her flat.0
