I've got my new EDF bill through. I'm confused as to my I have cancelled charges. I've just had the warm home discount applied to my bill.
Recent account activity:
We cancelled your electricity charges (excluding VAT) from 20 December 2017 - 20 February 2018 - £210.69 credit
Warm Home Discount - Support Plus Rebate - £133.33 credit
Total recent account activity £344.02 credit
I expect the only way I would know is to contact them? I'm just scared they will say it was a mistake and apply the charges. £210 is a hell of a lot of money.
Cheers.

Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

If they have made a mistake, then they have the right to correct it. They could be knocking on your door in 6 year’s time. I would talk to them before spending the money. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

It is likely your previous bill(s) was estimated and the cancelled charges are previous estimated charges, and now they have charged you the corer amount bases on accurate meter reading(s).0

forever - does your bill also show current billed units ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I've just had a look at my last bill and it is for this period and yes, it was an estimated bill. So they have just cancelled that and used my readings. That's good to know I won't owe it back.
