Hi , Wonder if anyone can help, got a large automatic update from Windows 10 , now when I sign into my computer only getting a blank blue screen , don't know what to do, not very techy. Is this the end of my laptop? so annoyed although my machine is a few years old it suits me fine and I have a lot of family photos and things on it . so upsetting as I wouldn't have chosen to update. as everything was running slow but fine. Thank you for any advice anyone has.

And the first thing to do is when you get it running is make at least 2 independent backups of those precious photos - and you could store them up there in the cloud too :-)0

Thank you for your help , managed to get computer started in safe mode with the link you shared. Have ordered a memory stick and will get all my photos moved ASAP0

Memory stick is fine initially but bear in mind they break easily which is why they are cheap. Don't use them as your only backup.0
