Still not capped data usage or setup notifications to work then properly, like every other UK network does! Likely what a ton of their complaints are about... Or their shoddy Oracle online account portal that's forever down and bugging out.
Recently helped move my sister away from Vodafone. She only had a 3GB allowance, but rather than cap you and tell you as expected, they let you go over marginally by a few MB then charge you £6 for 1GB. Then maybe few hours later they'll text you to say you've ran out and you'll be charged if you go over (too late by then).
Every other network I've used (EE, O2 and Three) either redirect you to a page telling you you're out of data and to buy more. Stopping you from incurring charges completely. Or they slow your network speed to dial-up so you can browse at best (Giffgaff I think do this).
Money grabbing thieves, will never touch Vodafone again and neither will any of my family.
EDIT: On a side note, I recently ran out of internet abroad in Greece and I'm with EE. Went on live chat to sort buying a few GB of extra data, instead the guy just refreshed my whole data allowance for free as a loyal customer. Couldn't ask for more!!0 -
If you've got a smartphone (I have a Galaxy S7), you should have a setting on the phone that will give you a warning.
I get a 3GB allowance and I've set it for a warning at 2GB and complete data shutdown at 3GB. I've never gone anywhere near my allowance but it's nice to know it's set up ready.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
She had an older gen iPhone which ironically doesn!!!8217;t have a built in data usage warning or similar. Likely is a 3rd party app maybe.
But that aside I just don!!!8217;t like Vodafone!!!8217;s poor approach and attitude to this kind of thing.0 -
They need since they cannot get an enginner out to you to install!
They charge £120 for you missing an enginner appointment where plus net only charge £66.0
