I didn't either until a nerd crashed into my car whilst parked. I had a lot of hassle and had to raise a court action before 3rd party insurer would refund my excess.

No one needs travel insurance until the time comes that they need to make a claim and if/when that times does come, most people are very glad that they spent a few £s on the policy.0

Used it once in an accident. It's worth it's waste in gold when you need it.

Depends if you want to give away 25% of your damages to your legal representatives or not.0

They will only take on cases where they are most likely to win; therefore you may just as well use a no win no fee solicitor if necessary. Some 'legal-covers' are just accident claims companies anyway with all the hassle that goes with them like overpriced credit hire cars.0

No win no fee solicitors will only take on cases that they are likely to win as well. ATE insurer!!!8217;s won!!!8217;t provide cover on cases with a less than 50% chance of success.0

On home insurance, yes it's worth it.
On car policies, I could take it or leave it. But at the end of the day my car isn't worth all that much anyway and the excess isn't huge.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
It was worth it for me, got me my £400 excess back.0

I've used it once, when someone who wasn't looking where he was going ran into the back of me. His insurer dithered and dragged it out as long as they could, so I set the lawyers on them.
But it's massively over-priced for what it is.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
