Gateway Plc Desktop computer purchase via HP. . . . .

Hello one and all i have a question regarding purchase of a Desktop Computer package from a company called Gateway i purchased this item in 1999 and and paid off the computer via HP instalments I have no paperwork but I believe I can request info via a subject access data request so that I can claim back the PPI costs.I believe the finance was arranged by GE Capital.Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Forget it, even if Gateway are still around in some form the sale in 1999 is years before regulation started so they don't have to consider your complaint. GE Capital did not sell you anything so are not liable.
You can send a SAR but if the account has not been active in the last 6 years (and I would imagine it was probably been paid off 15+ years ago) then they won't have any records left to send youSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
