Apologies for my first post, I thought I was on the employment board, so some of it seems a little basic.

PIP isnt just for physical ailments however whether you would qualify with your MH isnt certain. The main considerations are roughly based around a) do you need help to care for yourself because of your mental health and B) do you require help to get around because of your MH.

Is it the work which is causing the issues, aka would a change of job/career help?

Assuming you have a mortgage there is support available for the interest portion but I believe there is a wait of 30+ week for that plus it is now a loan against your home.

As you are living with parents I'm assuming any essential outgoings will be things like credit card bills or other credit. If that is the case you should contact the creditors as soon as possible to make them aware of the situation. They may be willing to defer payment for a while.

Thank you, but that seems to be aimed at people with physical disabilities/requiring aid.

No PIP covers mental health, anxiety, and depression. (Otherwise I wouldn't have suggested it)

Look again at the rethink (a mental health charity) link and their PIP resources link on the bottom left of the page.Click on this and it takes you through to their very useful factsheet with mental health examples and case studies.

"You can get PIP if you have a mental or physical condition which affects
    your day to day life.
    These things include the following.
    !!!8226; Speaking to other people
    !!!8226; Shopping and paying bills
    !!!8226; Planning and following journeys
    !!!8226; Preparing food and eating
    !!!8226; Washing and bathing
PIP is made up of two parts, known as components. These are the:
    !!!8226; daily living component, and
    !!!8226; mobility component.
Each component is paid at either a !!!8216;standard!!!8217; or an !!!8216;enhanced!!!8217; rate. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) use a points system to see if you can get the components at the standard or enhanced rate."

Many people with poor mental health are in receipt of PIP. Many people who are working and suffer with poor mental health are also in receipt of PIP.

Did you read this "If you need extra help because of an illness, disability or mental health condition you could get Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

Please take your time to carefully go through the links I have provided for you.
Having thoroughly read the rethink guide, looked at the points system (note the word prompting), and looked at the CAB information (including how to complete the PIP form) if you then think you may be eligible I would suggest a visit to your local advice agency or CAB for help.

To claim pip the following applies

    • have had difficulties with daily living or getting around (or both) for 3 months
    • expect these difficulties to continue for at least 9 months (unless you’re terminally ill with less than 6 months to live)

If you expect to be off longer term you might be able to claim wtc whilst on SSP. The cut off is about £13k (higher if entitled to disability element) sonwould really depend on how long you expect to be off.
