Tbh it doesn't sound like even if there were a chance that the finance company could be talked round, that your husband would really be able to anyway.0

Op if your still reading.... Your husband has made a big mistake in that he has been obstructive in dealing with them when he has made the contact, Trying to pull on the heart strings of the Case manager in my opinion would be a futile exercise as it would be taken as a delaying tactic to the repo order they hear allsorts of excuses.
If you mention your going bankrupt they have a live order now and they will just pick it up and cart it off sooner rather than later before you get the chance to put in the paper work and start a bankruptcy.
What’s a case manager going to do?
Next step will be enforcement action bailiffs or sheriffs.0 -
Can you afford to make higher payments than those you were on previously? High enough to prompt them to reconsider? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I would say to the OP they need to research N440/N244 Time order and ask for 2 things, one more time to pay, and two set a repayment thats more affordable for them.
Keep a receipt for the N440/N244 if enforcement agents turn up or if the car is lifted by a recovery truck without contact they will need to show proof the N440 is in process with the courts which should stay proceedings of the repo order until this is resolved either the car if lifted will go into storage, or the enforcement agent contact the case manager at the finance company and informs them the N240/N244 is in process and that they cant lift it till its resolved.

Ha ha ha. I don't take any notice of arrogant mercdrivers, either on the road or online. I think I will decline your request.0 -

My post wasn't arrogant - and I no longer drive a Merc. Divorces are also generally not very moneysaving. I repeat keep your beak out of other people's business. You don't know them.0 -

Acting like the OPs husband isn't exactly moneysaving either.
