Also the convenience of when you have passengers leaving windows in the car open when you all get out, a simple long press of the lock button rectifies this.0

Yep. I actually now hold the button rather than press it every time I lock. My only real criticism of the car is that the electric window switches are badly positioned on the drivers side (maybe i'm just used to my previous cars). I tend to accidentally roll down the rear windows rather than the front ones, if I don't look or think about it.
Hold lock, I know they're closed. Really useful feature, in my opinion.0 -

Worth noting that the auto close feature (On Ford's at least) only works if the windows are also configured for 'auto up'.
On mine the previous owner had disabled that feature, so the key could open all the windows, but not close them. It was simple enough to re-program the windows (although I actually left it switched off for the rear windows, since the auto-reverse seems to take a lot of force to trigger, and I wouldn't want a child's arm or neck in there where the button on the door handle could get knocked)3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day).
