Tickets issued very late

In January this year I received a parking charge notice for not parking correctly on 6/9/2016. They said they previously wrote to me, not received, no photo or ever had a ticket on the car. I ignored this & now have a solicitors letter adding £60 to £125 fine. Surely 15 months is unreasonable to serve the charge?

Surely 15 months is unreasonable to serve the charge?
Which parking company?
Which solicitors?
To whom does the solicitor's letter tell you to pay?
Not sure why you ignored the initial contact by the PPC, but clearly was not the best move you'll ever make. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

the PPC has 6 years to take this to court using MCOL, so no , 15 months in not unreasonable, we see them on here after 60 or 70 months , lol
chances are that the letter you now have is a debt collector letter on pimped out notepaper
so does it say to contact or pay ? DRP ? ZZPS ?
or is it a REAL letter from an actual solicitor ? sent by that solicitor ?
personally , I doubt that any solicitor has been involved as yet as not enough time has elapsed
who is the Parking Company ? (PPC)0 -
The parking company is ES Parking Enforcement Ltd. Solicitors Gladstone’s. It’s not clear who to pay but they refer to the PAP form to complete.
We did not receive a first letter or photo. Thanks for replying.0 -
OK so now we want to see your reply to the letter of claim, and you will find how to do that from the NEWBIES thread, post #2. Also read about defending claims because you will need it - and we do have a 99% win rate here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
