To be fair, from anecdotal evidence etc. all the major bank insurance cover policies are good, it's just that some are more expensive than others.

Do be sure to read the policy... some aspects that you assume all travel insurance includes may not be covered! For instance...

I was using my bank's travel insurance (free with a premium account) for a trip to the USA. I got as far as the railway station (to get to Heathrow) and found that my train had been cancelled. At that point I discovered that I had no cover for travel disruption and missed departure!

(The railway provided a taxi direct to Heathrow, and I arrived with just minutes to spare!)

    Banks doing "free" stuff............ ?

Maybe that's why travel disruption was excluded ?

I have the flex plus account with the worldwide travel insurance. Its a joint account so we're both covered and my daughter for free. I've not claimed on it so far so i don't know if that side of it is any good. My husband takes blood pressure tablets and i declare that and there are no extra charges for that its free which is unusual. I also pay £4 a year for the excess waiver which is unbelievable. It does cost £13 a month but i get £6.50 a month in interest on the account, so only costs me £6.50 and i get the breakdown and mobile insurance benefits too.
