I would like to get a balance transfer card to transfer my credit cards to 0%. How does the provider decide how much credit to allow, and what can I do if the limit is less than the amount I need to transfer?

They decide based on your credit-worthiness, income, current debt, utilisation etc.
If the BT limit is less then transfer what you can and look to pay the remainder off ASAP0
