Hi All
Quick question for you please.
My father parked at his doctor's surgery to drop in a letter to them. The car park is controlled by MPS and you can get a free ticket from the Dr's.
However, there were no spaces in the car park at the time and because he was just dropping off a letter, he parked in the yellow lined ambulance bay. He got back to his car 4 minutes later and had been handed a £60 fine (PCN, window).
He is registered disabled and had his blue badge on the car, so could not park outside of the car park and walk in. But the charge states parking in a restricted area, so I was wondering if it could be challenged at all?
Thanks

Yes - the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 will guide you through it.I was wondering if it could be challenged at all?
Whether it was right or wrong for your father to park where and as he did, it's one of the prime reasons private parking companies are contracted by all and sundry these days to issue private parking tickets like confetti - in fact last year 5.5 million were issued.
Which parking company is this - full name, many can use acronyms that are similar and if confused you could be getting advice that may not be correct. The car park is controlled by MPSPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

No such thing, there hasn't been a register for decades. He is registered disabled
All he needs to do is complain to the GP surgery, as the NEWBIES thread says.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
