Well, today has been a mediocre sort of day.

    Good things
    • Had some lovely time with the kids after school/ work (laughs and snuggles included)
    • It's a bank holiday where my company's HQ is based so we got paid early...today!
    • Husband is back to being paid on a Tuesday...for now...
    • I did a trip today where I get to claim back mileage at a decent rate

    Not so good things
    • Today was a really odd day at work (I won't go into it) so feeling odd about it
    • I feel very disorganised lately - need to get my finger out tomorrow and get some life admin sorted
    • Diet has gone a bit out of the window the last couple of days - back to the gym tomorrow and back on the eating well bandwagon

Evening all! Husband is watching the football so I'm just perusing online before bed. Dont have enough concentration to read so MSE it is.

Reasonably good day today - got 2 birthday presents in Sainsbury's reduced from £12 to £6 for birthday parties we have coming up. Worked really hard at a gym class. Ate really well. Make some progress in my to-do list (although some will roll over until tomorrow).

Not a bad day by all accounts.

Just checked my Sainsbury's nectar points and I've saved £9.02 so far. I only really use it for fuel and the odd top up shops so it builds up fairly slowly. I'm attempting to save them for the double up event in November/ December so will keep on keeping on.

Treated myself to a lovely jumpsuit in sainsburys with 25% off and some socks for the kids.

Was pretty organised and ordered both my dads fathers day gift and his birthday gift. Organised for once!

You can tell it was just pay day...

Need to keep my purse in my bag for a few days now. Dont want to go wild!

    Days until pay day: 30

Morning all, it's what we'd call a 'dreich' day here. (wet, rainy, downright horrible).

I've got some motivation behind me today - i ate a good breakfast, wrote a to do list and I'm working my way through both work stuff and personal stuff as I go.

I want to list a few things on ebay tonight so they finish on Sunday evening. I'm hopeful that a couple of the items will sell well :) Any money made from ebay sales will go into the credit card or savings (not decided yet!).

Also trying to be super organised for the weekend and writing a shopping list and meal plan today.

Nothing happening debt-wise...still a while until the next payments come out unless any extra money appears from somewhere!

Haven't been on PA for ages and I only have £2.30 in Qmee...really need to get moving on surveys if I want to make these extra top ups.

It's a miserable drizzley day here too hg. You've been motivated and I love a good to do list! I've written my outdoor jobs for hubby to do this summer which is quite a bit of painting.

Ooh, outdoor jobs sound lovely. Let's just hope we get a nice enough summer to both do the jobs and to enjoy the results.

Our outdoor space is so far off that we're just doing the basics like cutting the grass and trimming back the hedges. Anything other than that can wait because our garden needs a complete overhaul. It's about 10th on the list of areas to be completely overhauled so quite a while off unless we have a massive windfall!

    Still miserable here.*eyeroll

Today I'm getting some work out the way then I need to take some things back to a shop and buy a few vest tops for holiday. I've got an old duvet cover that has a hole in it that I'm taking to H&M to get a £5 off voucher so will put that towards my vest tops. I think it's a great initiative that they run there to encourage textile recycling.

I've then got kids to pick up, make dinner, take eldest to his club, pick him up, gym tonight then shower and relax. Phew! It's a thought getting all that done!

Got £10 in coins into my sealed pot last night and another almost £2 into the change jar. Trying to make more of an effort on the potting front.

Hubby hates diy, so I'm just hoping I'll be more mobile so I can do them myself. Our garden was neglected last summer after my accident, so I'm looking forward to getting it straight and adding more flowers.

Well done on the potting! I've managed a £1.50 survey today so it should be another £5 odd paying out soon.

That's a nice little addition to the survey pot. I'm struggling with the surveys - don't have a lot of time lately so I've been trying to just keep up with Qmee but I keep getting screened out of everything... annoying!

Got about £3 in there but it's been building SLOWWWWWWLLLLYY. Almost half way there again with shoppix.

Just catching up. No change. You still are busy, organised and keeping all the balls up in the air (walks away backwards bowing down :))

Thanks DIA - lovely to see you back! Although I'll have to have a rethink about what I'm portraying on here because theres definitely no need for bowing down to my ball juggling.

In future, just assume I'm scraping by with a C- in most areas! But hey, it's not a fail!

We have a lovely afternoon planned to celebrate a friend's big birthday then a quiet night af home with the kids. Tomorrow will be holiday organising I think!

I read from the sidelines and you really motivate me so thank you. I see you will have £600 for Xmas by November. Do you budget an amount per child? I am trying to reign things in a bit but its so hard when you want your children to have lovely things. Also family members you barely see that you have to buy for, it feels like it adds up so much :(
