  • We recently bought a portable steam cleaner for a tenner on ebay. In conjunction with some descaling spray, it brought our cubicle up a treat.

I'd probably give Barkeeper's Friend a go. It hasn't failed on any task I've thrown at it yet!

Ah rach, I was just going to suggest Barkeepers Friend. I used it on my shower screen yesterday and it is fab.

We specifically bought a streak-free glass screen when doing our bathroom 7 years ago...6 months after install we realised the fitters had set it, tiled & grouted around whilst the streak-free side was outside not inside

Now I spray the shower down the screen when I finish & DH does the squeegy thing.

I used Magic Eraser on my shower screen a few weeks ago. It required very little effort and the result was amazing.

Limescale removal spray (or anything acidic), spray, soak then go at it with a plastic scourer and elbow grease. Rinse. Then insist anyone showering squeegees and/or wipes everything down afterwards to stop it building up again (I'm still training my lot on this last point!)
  • Thanks everyone :)

How old is your shower screen?

Mines 5 years old and I was told when I bought it, it was self cleaning

    If only eh :)

What I do have to do though is when finished in the shower, take the shower head down and rinse the doors thoroughly, then squidgee

Keeps it reasonably clean and shiny, only have to give it a good clean once a month or so
