Morrisons have also stopped sheathing their cucumbers in plastic, which is a good move!0

A good move until some whacko injects something into the cucumber.0

Nice to see this outcome as our local morrisons refused when asked if I could use my own containers a few years ago when we first tried to reduce our plastic consumption. I was lucky enough to find the local butcher didn't take issue. Hopefully the others will follow suit0

And this wasn't possible with the clingfilm type wrapper? If a needle can pierce a cucumber, it can definetly pierce the plastic wrapping! What about carrots, or loose peppers or mushrooms? They're sold loose in most supermarkets. Were/are they not at similar risk?MrsStepford wrote: »A good move until some whacko injects something into the cucumber.0
