Morning all

Just done a quick recce of the hanging baskets for strawberries for breakfast, but only a few there - they are nearly finished for this year I think
But looking on the bright side, I did find a huge first raspberry yesterday
Need to go to the post office with a couple of ebay items today, and I shall do that before it gets too hot. It is easier to walk, despite being a couple of miles there and back, due to our vehicle access problem at the moment, and the usual nuisance of parking in town.
Apart from that, I need to do some housework and think of something for dinner. I might also make a batch of Mrs F's garlic flatbreads, as I have some rather odd yogurt from Iceland that I don't like the texture of.... it seems to be ordinary yogurt that has been made into 'Greek' yogurt by means of adding a thickening agent, probably gelatine, as opposed to straining it. It tastes ok, but is just odd! It would be good to use it up out of the way. I won't be buying that again!
It looks to be hot again, and everything will want watering - again
More coffee needed first then must head to the Post Office :cool:0 -

Continue with washing today, whizzing through it.
Continue with some housework today
Must get a form completed and sent in today

Just about to start cat cleaning
Belated birthday wishes 1LL hope you had a great day and was spoilt....June birthdays are the best!:j:j

Morning all :hello: was awol yesterday as I spent much of the day in bed. Got up to get smalls from school and go to doctors. Need some more tests, but I was impressed at how thorough he was. I’ve cancelled a meeting today to be over the phone rather than me driving 60 miles each way to it. Will do it in the garden I think. Need to catch up on some work today and pop to the supermarket. I’m impressed the small shop we did last week has lasted us 7 days without any top ups. Let’s hope for the same again this week. So today looks like:
Appointment at doctors. Park for free a bit further away
Get prescription - ok, I have to pay. But thankful to the doc for giving me double on 1 prescription and for our amazing nhs
Check banking
re list a few things on fleabay
Go to shops with list
Work from home
Watch something with DH tonight
Hopefully DH will get paid today (rolls eyes - it’s like a lucky dip)
DH working overtime tomorrow so need to be organised as I’ll have both smalls to ferry around and activities for them and jobs I was planning on doing. Must write a list.
Usual watering/checking of garden
Enjoy your day folks. Purps.0 -
Hi all - happy Friday!
Been a bit of a crazy week here as the twins caught a nasty bug at nursery so I've been drowning in puke n poop - luckily it seems to have passed now though they're still off their food - just hoping nobody else (especially me) gets it!
So today's small things:
:A totted up last weeks spends £62.53 left from last weeks budget so split that between debt and savings
:A not had TV on all day
:A not had lights on either
:A done meal plan to use things in store cupboard
:A bought a couple of YS apples to make a crumble - found some blackberries at back of freezer so I'll throw them in too.
:A weekly shop came in at £30.35 - well under £70 budget
:A done some surveys
:A cashed out £5 amazon vouchers from surveys now got £26 towards Xmas gifts for eldest
:A paid another £39 to MBNA - that's £1100 since Feb
:A watered veggies using water butt water
:A harvested some more strawberries
:A swopped usual Friday night fresh pizza for a frozen one - saved £2.50 (and 400 calories ) was really good too!
:A. Contacted estate agent about valueing old property
Think that's it.Total debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Total extra income made in Jan22 £109. 27 Feb 22 £45.25 Total extra income made in 2022 £154.52 Aiming for debt free at 45 - 41 months to go!0 -
Morning

I've been following this thread on and off for a while and feel like now is a good time to start posting myself! We've just had baby no. 4 five weeks ago so I'm on maternity pay and the kids summer holidays are coming up and we have a weeks holiday booked so I need to start paying a bit more attention to the everyday bits and pieces that really, make a huge difference come the end of the month!
so, list for today;
- make banana and apple loaf with past it fruit.
- log on to online banking and move money so I can get my switching bonus
- open bank account for the newest little one so I can put his money in it and I wont be able to spend it!
- hang out the washing, beautiful sunny day here but not super warm....
- freeze peppers from the fridge as they wont get used nor last any longer in the fridge. I have them ear marked for dinner later in the week. I'll make an oven roasted ratatouille with the super six courgette & aubergine from aldi that starts on Thursday. Already have the red onions, garlic, canned plummed toms and feta cheese. I'll make look at making a flat bread to go along with it....
Thanks all for your posts, they very much help to keep me focused

Morning all :hello:
Another gorgeous day here and it's already warm outside. Much to be done today including:
Get cases down from loft and put some stuff up there
Wrap 2 presents for parties between now and end of term
Get smallest smalls stuff packed for rainbow sleepover next weekend
Sort through clothes and move may that are too small out and any 'new aka stashed in box from hand me downs) in
Find eldest a sun hat as her head has grown this last week :rotfl:
DH emptied our sealed tin yesterday and we have £261 in there. Put £1 back in our new sealed tin and will used the rest as holiday money. New sealed tin opening date 1/1/19
Research flights some more as I think DH is going to go on his own and see one of his closest friends next year who emigrated. We'd all love to go but it's not financially viable and if DH goes he can go out of school hols so it's much cheaper.
Download data from one (paid for) exercise site to another (non paying) one. And cancel first one :T
Plant up hanging baskets, I know I'm late on this one
Feed tomatoes
Get some more netting for blueberries, it's working well but I'd like some more.
Packed lunches for 3 for tomorrow. Will be some bbq leftovers in there somewhere I'm sure and I'll make a cake later for some snacks.
Have a great day folks.0 -
Morning folks
Back in work today... I should start posting on the weekends when I have something interesting to report.
Not a very frugal weekend, but enjoyable. I'm tired now though, the hot nights are disturbing my sleep.
I will confess that we put the sprinkler onto the lawn for half an hour on Thursday evening. I can't really afford to let the grass die as it isn't my grass!
Today is a normal work day so I will be doing the following:- B/L/D from stores (I wonder how long it will take OH to realise that we didn't do a meal plan or a shop this weekend? Bit bored of being the household project manager)
- Grate up two massive courgettes, squeeze water out and freeze.
- Water garden
- Reconcile budget sheet
- Not going out - we've spent enough this weekend
- Find new home card in stash and send to friend
- Email villa people - done
