Need to change locks, looked at Avocet ABS locks. Any other you would recommend?

Thanks

I don't think the make maters too much as long as you look for TS007 3 star rating.

I fitted the Yale platinum which meets the specification and seems fine but I have no experience of the other makes eg Brisant Ultion, ERA, etc.

I'd definitely go with the Avocet ABS

I have Avocet ABS locks and they're keyed alike so the same key that opens the front door opens the back door. The only downside is that the keys are essentially magnetic and I've come across reports of people having problems because they put the keys in their pocket with something else that had a magnet.

I've had the Avocet ABS for two years and have no complaints. Like the fact that the keys don't scratch

I have an Ultion and an ABS but the best looking on my door was the ATK which i think is manufactured by abs and has also passed the extra tests from NLA to achieve diamond standard.
Don't bother with the Yale 3 star because i don't think it has passed the NLA tests like Ultion,ABS,ATK and one or two others out there.

I find the abs has the smoothest action and they are a doddle to fit yourself however, one thing to look out for with this particular lock is the very short ones don't carry the British Standards because of the size, when i got a 30 mm version it came with no marking and abs told me that this size cannot carry the same anti-snap technology etc, so it didn't have the kitemark or 3 stars on the barrel etc.
Enjoy everyday like it's your last!
