Civil Enforcement Ltd
My daughter got an ANPR ticket at a pay site, 13 signs for 30ish car parking spaces, cost was 1 pound, though the machine wasn't working. The signs gave a number to call if the machine wasn't working. Didn't ring the number, ex-wife was in the car with her said it would be ok. Total time in the car park was 14 minutes, daughter appealed which was rejected. Ex-wife said she would deal with it for her, she wrote a letter to them after appeal was rejected. Didn't offer to pay the 1 pound, admitted they parked in the car park explained they were only dropping off some paperwork. Daughter went off to university. Ex-wife opened many letters though didn't appeal to BPA POPLA, then ignored the Debt recovery letters. Civil Enforcement Ltd (CEL) issued court papers about 3 1/2 weeks ago, unfortunately she thought they were fake and ignored them. I saw them and helped daughter who is back from University submit an acknowledgement to the service (AOS) albeit late. They are chasing over 300 pounds.
Can anyone help with the defence, which must be filed by Wednesday assuming the court accept a late AOS . I have read the Newbie section and a number of defences that all seem to have been wronged in some way and not just didn't buy a ticket and didn't want to pay the fine. Should the AOS have part admitted the claim for 1 pound?

The parking forum here is equally well recommended and has a high success rate!Use this forum there the best for your problem http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=idx
(Though annoyingly missing the AOS deadline has given the claimant the opportunity to win a default ccj if they are on the ball and ask for judgement before the defence gets into court)0
