best card for online purchases

Hi everyone,

basically what the title is, whats a good card for using for online purchases, want it to be safe and secure, but basically the aim is for using it for online stuff, paying off straight away etc

    All cards which are part of the visa / mastercard / amex schemes are all safe and secure as long as you're buying from a safe and secure website.

    ........But some are better than others if you want to order and have to pay in a foreign currency.

    I don't think it really matters which card you use apart from one fact - you should definitely use a credit card not a debit card as your protections are infinitely more with a credit card

    Although you didn't specifically mention it one thing you should definitely NOT use for online purchases unless you can help it is PayPal

    If you are worried about online security then it could be argued that debit cards issued by Starling or Revolut might be good because you can "turn them on and off" from the app on your phone.

    Turn it on, use it, then turn it off if you have security concerns
