How do you feel about giving your credit card details to hotels?

Always keep a record and double check what you've paid for in advance, and what you have to pay on arrival or check-out.

Errors happen, I recently paid twice for a hotel in Macedonia, booked with Booking.com. I sorted it out when we got back home, but it meant having to send screen-shots of CC statements to prove the double payment. Credit to Booking.com though, they were v.quick to rectify their error and also checked a tenner in for the inconvenience.

I can't see the problem TBH. You have the convenience of charging things to your room and you check the bill before you leave to make sure you haven't been charged for services incorrectly. Just what else do you think might happen OP?
