Quick question re Santander mortgage PPI claim

If a joint mortgage is found to have PPI, would that be in both parties' name? If so, if only a single claim goes through would any potential compensation be halved?
We submitted two questionnaires as requested, but as the reference number was out by one digit on one of the forms (which we've only now realised) they're claiming they didn't receive the second of them in so have closed half of our claim.
Would anyone be able to clarify either whether they can close a claim on grounds of the reference number mistake or can we still pursue it if we prove we sent two back?
Thanks in advance!

Not necessarily. MPPI could be set up 50/50, 75/25 or 100/0 (or any other combination)If so, if only a single claim goes through would any potential compensation be halved?
Typically follows how the policy is set up.Would anyone be able to clarify either whether they can close a claim on grounds of the reference number mistake or can we still pursue it if we prove we sent two back?
They only close a complaint when it is resolved or you fail to respond to a request and it has been more than 6 months. They will usually reopen (even after 6 months as long as it hasnt been unreasonably long)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
