ASOS want parcel returned

Hi, I ordered an item from ASOS to another country in Europe and it didn't arrive, which hasn't happened before and I order from ASOS often, so after about six weeks I let customer service know and they sent out a duplicate item. Another month goes by and the duplicate item arrives. Now, I know this was not too bright of me but I wanted to be honest, so I contacted customer service and let them know the missing item turned up. They're now demanding the first package be sent back, I've explained I can't return it as where I live is somewhat rural and there is no post office with actual staff, just a mail pick up point. I'd be okay enough with purchasing the item but after having explained my situation a few times, ASOS are no longer responding with anything other than a copy/paste blurb of "Good news, here's how you can return your item, simply visit your nearest post office..."
So, I am stupid and frustrated and at a loss. Is there anything I can do beyond await collections? This whole situation is getting me down. TIA!

What is the other country? Do they not offer alternative return options? For example, in the UK there are 8 different ways to return a parcel to ASOS.0

Norway. I think my nearest manned post office is a 50 min drive away, which I've explained to ASOS already.0

Surely at some point in the next few weeks you will be passing a post office?
I don't really understand what you expect ASOS to do? They provided good customer service by sending a second parcel when the first one was reported lost. You now have two parcels and need to return one to ASOS.0 -

So you make the drive to return it or pay for it.
What advice were you after?0 -
Whomever delivers the ASOS parcels,do the collect?0

I believe the advice he's looking for is what are his rights? Does he really have to drive a 1hour40 round trip because there is no other option. Don't know Norwegian law myself, regrettably.Peter
Debt free - finally finished paying off £20k + Interest.0 -
Having re read the OPIs there anything I can do beyond await collections?
What other option would you like?0 -

So you have the option of Post Office or getting the item picked up. The same as the UK.
What other option would you like?
I read it, possibly incorrectly though, that the OP was assuming ASOS would sell the debt on and debt collectors (or Norway's version) would be at their door.
It does seem that ASOS only offer post office returns for Norway.0 -
Sorry for not being clear, pick up isn't an option, so it'd be a near 2 hour round trip to drop off the parcel and it'd be returned at my expense. I would be happy to pay for the duplicate item but customer service aren't responding beyond a stock answer any more. By collections, I did mean a collections agency, not a collection of the parcel.0

Why not try explaining the issue on twitter? I've found the twitter to be very useful in getting problems resolved0
