Recommend me some exotic trees for the UK

No one suggests that the nice little Japanese maple in the garden centre will take over your garden and shade your house, but it's in the same family as the common sycamore.

I wouldn't say this is exotic and it's not evergreen but I love this 'wedding cake' tree.

The leaves are lovely green and white, it's in flower in the pic but you can hardly see the flowers.

Cornus Controversa Variegata. It's my favourite tree too
