My toilet once flushed doesn’t stop leaking in the bowl so I’m wasting water. Sometimes when I lift the lid then keep flushing the tank fills and then stops. I had to wake my husband at 2:30 this morning to ask for help but the tank eventually filled and it never seems to happen when he flushes.
Please help, obviously I’m hoping it’s a simple plastic screw that needs replacing ha ha as if it could be that simple.

Sounds like your flush valve has had it. Quite a cheap fix, is DIYable if you You tube for video, or know a handy person/relative, otherwise £50 to £60 to get someone to do it as a rough guess0

Lots of helpful fix it yourself on You Tube. It's all plastic and easy.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Thank you.
I have been watching YouTube and forcing my husband to view it to. He has cleaned the valves, fingers crossed that helps.0 -
