Should I claim for injures in a car accident?

As someone else said there is no rush.
Seek medical advice and claim for everything you are entitled to but don't be rushed by the ambulance chasers, they just want a quick result.
I got totally shafted by an insurance company in my teens and I've always remembered that.0 -
Claim off his insurance for physio (they'll probably offer you it anyway) and document everything, trips to doctor, cost of prescription drugs or over the counter stuff etc. I put in a claim after a car hit me when cycling, I was off work for a week, had bike damage, needed physio (physio was still finding tissue lumps/damage 3 years later) etc. The insurance company took about 20 months to finally pay out and even quibbled to the last about paying for 2 bike events I couldn't complete due to injury.
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Sounds like you want to and just looking for justification to do so.
I would if I was you. Even if it only causes suffering for a few weeks it's still unnecessary suffering because of him.
Just avoid the scumbag ambulance chasers who want half the compensation.
The fact it's the same insurer makes no difference.0 -
Compensation for injury doesn't sit right with me unless it is compensating for the loss of earnings or to allow you to buy something to help with pain / recovery.
If it just means you have to take it easy for a few days then be thankful it wasn't a lot worse and move on.0 -
Why should op be grateful to be alive? He shouldn't even be injured in the first place0

I was in a car accident (admittedly my own fault.) Quite bad neck pain the next day that led to advice from NHS direct to got to A&E for a check up. No treatment needed. No further problems 4 months later. The other person did claim which didn't come as any great surprise as they'd already indicated as much as soon as they got out of the car.
As I said, it depends on what the issues are. There is no rush. But claiming just because you can and other people tell you you should even if you've not needed any treatment, physio or time off work? Nope. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Dont under estimate the effect even a minor shunt can have...my wife was rammed by a doddery old fart who was 89yrs old who drove off after smashing into her, only came back after wife hit the horn constantly.
Described the accident as a "Minor grazing of wings" or as he should have said Rammed front passenger wing/wheel at approx 30mph and wrote car off.
Wife sufferd sleepless nights for weeks..kept going on and on about the accident and refused to go any where near the roundabout for months.0 -
