PCP / PCH questions
hi All,
I'm coming off a company car scheme in sept due to change in job meaning I longer qualify under business mileage
I'm looking at a PCH deal as having not owned a car in some time, not that fussed to own a car at the moment
couple of questions - hoping its okay to ask the first
any opinion on decent PCP/PCH dealers? Is there a comparison site for this like compare the market?
Looked at a couple of brokers in Martin's car leasing guide but want to run the comparison further
I understand the main different between PCP / PCH is 'P' gives you the option to purchase at the end
- anything else I need to be clear on upfront (I'll study any contract carefully)?
Is one cheaper than the other and does each type tend to lean towards different brokers/dealers?
I had a look to answer my questions but didn't see any threads relating - sorry if these have been asked before - wouldn't mind a link please
nb - I have around £2000-2500 to put down & looking at mid market hatch or small SUV
If anyone knows a better route than I am planning, any advice gratefully received
thanks

As for the differences between PCP and PCH.
PCP - You can end the contract early after the voluntary termination point has been reached. You can purchase or part ex the vehicle at the end or simply hand it back and walk away.
PCH - Think of it as a long-term rental. You're committed for the whole period and you hand the vehicle back at the end of the term and walk away.0 -

PCP is effectively PCH for most people anyway as at the end of the deal they don't have any money for the balloon payment so end up in a new PCP contract.
If you are one of those who just wants to hand a car back and get a new one every few years also consider leasing.
Decide on the car you want then just crunch the numbers between the various options. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

PCP you are liable for the whole debt PCH just the lease costs
Also look at Pistonheads best lease deals thread. The exceptional deals need to be acted very quickly upon. Dont get optional extras as you pay full RRP, be prepared to have the standard colour.
I leased an astra elite 1.4 turbo for 15000m and 12 months for £460 then £156 month after0
