    Morning all

Its a lovey sunny day here and really warm already this summer has been brilliant so far :jI hope it continues.

We are going to bbq tonight so I need to go through the freezer and check what we've got and what we need to buy, I am trying to empty the freezer a bit and I think there are quite a few packs of meat in there which I want to use this week, I shall list what we've got and meal plan around it.

We will nip to the shop this morning and then take little madam out this afternoon for a good walk then home for a rest before doing a bbq.

We had a lovely meal and bottle of wine out at the pub last night the food was really tasty and the staff lovely, we shall certainly go again and it has the added bonus of being within easy staggering distance of home :D

Have good days all and enjoy the sunshine xx

Wash on now and then Asda are popping round to put my shopping away later :D I sent them a thank you note for the service last week and had a lovely email back saying I had made them all smile in the office which was unusual :rotfl:
As Mr LW often says, "Thank You" is a sadly neglected form of compensation these days. We're quick to complain when things go wrong, but how many people stop to say thank you for good service, I wonder?

We should have more sunshine in the back garden now, as the chap has been and cut back the 2-years worth of new growth on the ancient hedge at the back. I'm thinking the squirrels will be somewhat put out. :D

So now I can get the bedlinen washed (once Mr LW has finished stripping the bed) and hung out. :T And I need to refill the bird feeders and put them some fresh water.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Good morning - only just!

I haven't been too idle, just pottered around this morning. Mostly decluttering a couple of drawers in the bedroom. Now I've got a pile of papers to scan and another pile to dispose off. Both sets will get burned.

No blazing sunshine or heat here, dull, windy and cool, though not yet cold. It feels odd to be at home on a Saturday and I am slightly fretting about DM - no doubt she's having a lovely time with the friends who are helping her this weekend.

I've got a washing load in the machine, had a brunch of chicken, avocado (on the turn) and coleslaw. Once I've hung out the wet clothes I will settle down with a book.

At some point I will make a cake for Monday, perhaps the peanut butter and banana one as that seemed to go down well with colleagues. One of them doesn't like chocolate or coffee - very strange!

    Happy Saturday to all.
  • Afternoon, late posting today. ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

I was feeling a bit under the weather last night, think I might have been eating too many strawberries, had a nasty attack of indigestion, unusual for me.

OH brought my breakfast in bed, I finally got up just before 10am. Straight out into the garden to put the wires on the fence for the clematis and rose. Its a job I have been wanting to do for a couple of weeks, cut down the cleamatis and unravelled it from the 5 canes that were in it, it is now tied to the wires on the fence. I have taken a few cuttings, will see if they take.

Just had our lunch, spending the rest of the afternoon watching either the tennis or racing.

I need to call in Melton tomorrow, we are going to DD2's for lunch. I need to go to Boyes and Argos as well. OH managed to drop his razor and smash it the other week, so DD2 sent him a gift card towards another one for his birthday.

Supper tonight, grilled gammon, tonato, fried egg and fried bread. Doubt I will be having strawberries though.

    Afternoon all

Went off shopping early this morning, can't be doing with a busy supermarket. Also been to yoga so will be unable to walk again tomorrow!

It's a breezy day with some spells of sun, the washing is drying really well, stripped the bed when I got up so should be able to put that back on later.

I had a really good nights sleep so full of energy today. Need to go to the allotment in a bit, may even need to water.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Take care. XX

Didn't get to read my book yet! Went to the tip, bumped into a friend, had a chat, went to the SM, bumped into the same friend and another, had more chats, did shopping and came home.

At home there's the neighbour out in my front garden oiling the table and table he made and putting in wooden plugs, in the back garden there are two tree surgeons giving my Llelandii a hair cut. Now all three are chatting about chainsaws etc. I've come inside away from 'big bits of kit' talk. :rotfl:

Once they are gone I can read my book.

I've ordered 'summer soiree' invitation cards and a name plaque for the gate. New gate isn't made yet as it'll be last to get done. I can wait!

Hey Snoozer, it’s the DC Gary Goodhew series of books, written by Alison Bruce. I found one in a CS, read and loved it so am now going through the previous books. The current one has just had a tense moment on a level crossing located around a mile from our house, weird!

    Afternoon all,

So there we were shopping bags to the ready but ended up quietly sitting beside the riverbank eating ice cream..Had to spoil it on the way back to go food shopping but it had to be done.

Shattered now but pleased we spent a bit of time doing something nice rather than just what was necessary.
