Micro SD Card Problem

Hi. I've read this thread and would like to ask a question please. My son has a ThiEye camera (cheap version of GoPro) and it states it takes up to 64G UHS-1 U3 cards.

I urgently need to get one, ideally two, within the next week. Can somebody please recommend a card? It's for a trip to Canada and I'd hate to buy him one and it not work. When I get one do I need to format it before he goes? If so how do I do that?

Sorry if the questions are glaringly obvious but I don't have a clue and don't want to do things wrong!!

There is a good chance he already has a card or two, knows the type, give him the cash and get him to buy the card
