Tesco also allow you to exchange your clubcard vouchers for airport parking tokens with Purple Parking. They will exchange £2.50 worth of tokens for £10 in Airport parking tokens. Check the following link for info on the deal.
http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/frames/main.asp?url=/clubcard/clubcard/deals/main.htm&left=/clubcard/frames/default.asp?ref=L3
Click under travel on this link and it should bring up info on Purple Parking. It does state though that the rates offered on the purple parking website are different to what's offered to Tesco Clubcard customers, not sure of the prices though but worth a look all the same.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -

i think we should start a 'cheapest airport parking' thread.
we should find other means to park at an airport. eg nearby within walking distance. i recently parked at heathrow, when lookin at the charges prior to parking (in true mse style!) to say i was shocked is an understatement. daylight robbers. lets play their game too.0 -
Just don't bother paying, then tailgate out behind the car in front (assuming they have a valid ticket).
Works a treat.0 -

I got a shock when I was charged £30 for parking at an airport hotel I was staying in at Heathrow:eek: The room was £90 and dinner was over £20, not very moneysaving but I didn't book it and I wasn't paying as it was a business trip.0 -
We booked a car parking space at Liverpool (John Lennon) airport. through the BCP website which we found very easy to do. Too easy because, due to my own stupidity, I used a different card for entering and leaving the car park from when I booked online. Never gave it a thought until the credit card statements arrived. Spoke to their helpline last week and have now faxed all the information to their resolutions department. Got an acknowledgement the day after by snail mail, and am now poised for the "resolution". It was £60 or so to pay at the airport and less than £30 on line.
Signing to the airport car parks was poor and the staff seemed to enjoy playing windmills with their arms rather than give proper directions. It was nice being able to walk from car to terminal in less than a minute, and we had a LOVELY weekend in Cork.0 -
How about National car rental for around £30.00 each way ( one way rental) cheaper than any car park in Gatwick.0

These people were excelent when I used them a few weeks ago, and at £5 a day for a meet and greet service, cheaper than any of the off-airport car parks.

Thanks Altarf, I am going to try them. It has got to be a whole lot easier than using off site parking with courtesy buses. For the benefit of other members: if you book via their website it states that there is a minimum charge, so it may not suit people on a short holiday.0
