How to remove a name from messenger

For a short time, on my ipad/iphone, both my GF and I had our individual accounts. She has now sorted her computers out and is running Messenger on her own iPhone/ipad. If only for privacy sake how can I remove her account as it appears on my ipad/iphone without it affecting the GF Messenger on her ipad/ Iphone ?
