Debt Recovery Plus Ltd re APCOA BHX Airport

Hi we have been ignoring a parking ticket from bhx airport. I stopped on the entrance to one of the outer car parks where my husband was walking and he jumped in. We were nowhere near the terminal in fact if I had just turned round and not stopped (30seconds at the most) I doubt they would have fined us. They took a photo and sent us a charge but we have ignored. This was May 17. I now all of a sudden have had 2 letters within 2 weeks from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd saying this is a final chance to pay and they are recommending their client (APCOA) takes us to court. The fine is now £150 - what a joke how can they justify this? What would you recommend we do as obviously do not want to pay it.
Hope someone can help :)

At the top of this board is a thread that tells Newbies to read it first. It is a comprehensive guide to dealing with parking tickets.

    It answers your questions.

Post four of the Newbies Sticky covers DRP completely - as does the "NO MORE DRP THREADS" thread.

You need to read the whole sticky though as you seem to be working on pre-2012 knowledge.

By now you will have read all about DRP.

DRP are a lost cause for themselves and the PPC's

They offer a "no win no fee" for the PPC's which means by
ignoring them .... they don't win and so it's all free of
    charge to the PPC's

You cannot blame the PPC's for taking up such an offer
and they use DRP .... correction, abuse DRP for this
    free giveaway.

As it's free to the PPC, the PPC cannot add on the charge

EG: Silly DRP add on £60 to the £100. If someone who
is brain dead and pays DRP, they keep the £60.

As you are to ignore DRP, they are the losers and their
scam £60 addon vanishes right in front of their eyes.

OH DEAR, NEVER MIND, WHAT A SHAME :rotfl:
