Letter from Gladstone’s solicitors

Hi all, I’ve looked and the sticky doesn’t cover me I don’t think.
I’ve recieved a letter about a fine from the above solicitors.
It states they have been instructed to collect the £160 by hx parking.
The background is....
I recieved a fine, I did have a ticket, it was the type of car park where you have to enter your registration, I appealed/challenged this for this reason, I heard nothing until I revived another letter from them asking for more, if missed the boat to appeal through ias.
Now there’s this letter, I was going to give up and pay the fine to Gladstone’s albeit £10 a month, I tried to find a number to call and discuss this and I found this forum, I thought I have nothing to lose so here I am...
What is my next step? I’m more than prepared to go to court
Thanks in advance and i apologise if I missed any details

first task is edit your post and never admit who was driving , not on here or anywhere else for that matter

only use the words the DRIVER and the KEEPER , no "MY , ME , MYSELF & I"

is this letter from GLADSTONES ? or somebody else entirely ?

ignore the letterhead, does the ref start with a 1 or another number instead ?

is the address the GOLF CLUB near KNUTSFORD ?

does it say to pay gslcollections or drp ?

    DO NOT PHONE ANYONE UP

you do know its not a "fine" and their paperwork will NOT contain that word anywhere ? they would be in trouble if they used the legasl word "fine" , so you made that up yourself
  • Ignore it and have your day in court if they have the balls to take you!

They still have to WIN the case for you to pay anyway.

In my opinon that is good advice. This is a forum where we share our opinions.

If you share a different view please advise the OP and stop acting like you own these forums.

    OP

Please ignore the posts urging you to ignore this issue.

Although a member since 2016 apart from coming to this forum some time ago regarding a council parking ticket (which is not what this forum majors on), for some reason this poster has embarked on spamming this dangerously poor advice which is being constantly dissed as wrong by long time contributors

This is Gladstones re HX, and they take people to court. So the OP just needs to read the NEWBIES thread and ignore the wrong 'opinion' spammed all over the forum today by campbel19925.

They need to reply to the letter, and prepare to defend the case. See the NEWBIES thread.

I am sure you will find something better to do to actually help posters on another forum.

OP, these lot "Coupon-mad", "RedX" and "Quentin" think the only way to deal with parking tickets is to fight your corner/defend your case.

All I'm saying is that there is a different route you can go down and they don't seem to like it.
It seems you can give advice on this forum only if it adheres to what the majority deem to be "correct advice".

Kick back, relax, enjoy a beer and set fire to the incoming letters

And if they 'set fire' to court papers, they will get a claim and will lose, like here where a poster v HX Parking insisted on admitting who was driving:

All posts today by campbell19925 need to be IGNORED. DANGEROUS ADVICE.

Campbell, I frequently disagree with the old lags on this forum, but in this instance I fully agree with them.

Parking tickets are hugely complicated, involving Contract Law, Property Law, negligence, privacy, harassment, Company Law, court procedures, etc., etc., etc.

Do you think that you are qualified to advise on such matters? If not, please go forth and multiply.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

The OP should also consider that anyone can join these forums and post.

Anyone, such as a parking company, who would like nothing better than to provide misinformation to confuse people so that they either make the wrong decision or give up due to the conflicting information provided.

You will see numerous posts warning people to be careful what they post as the parking scammers, er I mean companies, can read these public forums.
