I have taken out insurance for my stall at local fetes etc to sell garden plants. one of the venues I have booked has questioned the value of my insurance with the Stallholders Club because they are underwritten by a company in the Seychelles. Is this a problem? Have I wasted the £60 joining fee? Any comments welcome please.

have you researched them yourself?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Stallholders.org?
The Stallholders Club is a trading name of Pierpoint International Trading Limited, Company Registration Number 2538402. Registered address: Unit 25A, 25Floor, Wing Hing Commercial Building, 139 Wing Lok Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
The Stallholders Club is a membership organization and does not act as an insurance agent, broker, or distributor, and is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Maybe thats the issue for them? Do they prefer regulated companies, or they do not know if the cover is adequate?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The claims form states Upon successful submission, an assigned Bolend Global Management Limited claims agent will contact you within 30 days.
Is that a typo in the name or they dont know the name because it actually links to Boland.global and that does not load. bol A nd or bol E nd?
No phone numbers, just a contact form. Or do they have phone numbers in the members area?
EDIT: If you need legal advice it says use First Legal International Ltd. When you google that it comes back with the stallholders.org address.
I would not have used them.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I have researched myself and found the basics. Address etc and the fact that they are not covered by the FCA. However, on the bright side ,I have found no bad posts or complaints and warnings against them. Thanks for the reply0

Id suggest speaking to a broker to source cover for you. Id always go with an FCA regulated company however its worth checking their security rating too. If they don't have one or are not A rated avoid them. If they go bust you have a potential exposure as the recent issues with Alpha would prove.0

Address in HongKong? Long way to go to sort a dispute?
Found no bad posts. Well they have not been running under that name for very long. Does the fact they don't know their own claim handlers name and that the claim website does not work?
Dont forget if someone needs to claim you are liable for all costs.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
