Morning, sorry if this has been asked a million times already but as i am trying to cut the cost of our weekly shop I stumbled across the idea of the laundry balls . Years ago I did try the soap nuts but tbh I wasn't impressed.
At the moment I use Aldi tablets but only use one per wash not the recommended two tabs which works out approx 5p per wash. I don't use fabric softener unless I'm feeling flush :rotfl: On the well known auction site there is a laundry ball for a fiver for 1000 washes this works out less than 1p a wash but I'm a bit dubious as to it's effectiveness.
Mostly our clothes don't get that dirty, occasionally hubbys football stuff but apart from that I can mostly get away with a quick wash on 30/40c . Only use a hot wash on towels and bedding.
Have any of you tried them? What do you think?
Thanks all

Yes similar to the eco egg but cheaper, good to know you find that they work well. Thank you x0 -
I hadn't heard of silicone balls before - I've had an Ecoegg on back order with Amazon for a month and debating whether to just cancel the order for now, as there seems to be a supply issue, but silicone balls are worth thinking about.
Do you use them on their own or do you need something else with them?0 -
I tried them. They are ok on lightly soiled clothing but not much use on stains and they certainly dont keep the whites 'white'. I ended up using them with laundry powder which defeats the object really. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I guess you could use them for some washes and powder for others, and save a bit of money on the lightly soiled washes?0
