How much do you intend to spend each month on this £1K limit BA avios card?

    How does that affect anything?

Was that question directed at me Ben8282? Just asking as I posted about being given a £1K BA Amex card and not the OP.

I buy my rail season ticket and other associated travel costs, monthly. That currently goes on an MBNA card which I pay off in full. The spend is over £450 a month so that's ok for me. Looking to build a history with Amex, so the limit is fine.

Originally your stated reason for choosing this card was that you wanted to collect Avios not to build a history with Amex. You won't get many avios for a £450 a month spend. Are you sure this is really the best rewards card for you?

Got ya! Building history with Amex is my over-arching reason not the Avios. I've read all the threads and calculators as to why the Premium card might be better but I'm not fussed at this point.

With a monthly spend as low as yours obtaining the premier card would be like throwing money down the drain.
