I'd never even heard of being able to claim back money on PPI - until the site went down and the annoucement was on the page about it, so i'd just like to say thanks to the hackers, cos now they're going to save me LOADS of money :j
I've looked into it and my current loan has a PPI that i was told i had to take out otherwise i wouldn't get the loan (Blackhorse). I didn't know they couldn't do that!
Also, I've a dorothy perkins store card which is now a CCJ, i had PPI on that as well, but it was never explained to me fully, hence why it's now a CCJ! Both letters are being sent off tomorrow (currently calling them to find exact dates I took it out and who i send the letter to, but nobody seems to want to tell me anything - wonder why)!
Anyways, a massive THANKS to Martin for this and for all his other hard work and also a massive THANKS to the techies, because i didn't realise how much i was addicted to this site until it went down!! :T

Well done! :T
At least some good came out of the site crashing.0 -
After hearing Martin on Radio 2 I avoided getting PPI in the first place. I initially went to Lloyds bank to ask about a loan, they offered me 15% interest even though Ive been with them for 16 years. I was told I couldnt take the loan out if I didnt take their PPI!!!
I took a trip to the Halifax instead and borrowed at 7.9% without PPI, dont know how much that saved me but its a fair few pounds
If it wasnt for Martin I wouldnt have known that you didnt have to have it!!!
