You cannot claim Income Support with a child under the age of 5 yrs unless you are a lone parent.

So your choice would be (if you cannot go to work because of your caring duties)
1. ESA for your partner and you are added to her claim.
2. JSA for you and your partner is added to your claim.
3. Universal credit claim for both of you if you are in a full service area.0 -

So basically I don't need to worry about our council house being taken off us. The housing benefit would always apply to us.
