Hi and thanks in advance for any guidance and assistance. I've read through the Newbies thread and think I'm doing the right thing by posting on a new thread for advice and help.

Vehicle was parked in a casino car park frequented a number of times with no issue. There were no signs visible in the area (to knowledge) and nothing within the casino to advise that the rules for parking had changed. It was late at night and so it was also dark. Tickets were received through the post which were ignored and received all the subsequent letters, including the pass of ticket to Civil Enforcement Ltd. The casino were contacted who advised they would look into it but as it had been passed on they couldn't cancel it any longer, with the intimation that if it hadn't gone to CEL they would have done. A letter dated 10th May was received which doesn't set out clearly that it is an LBC but does refer to Pre Action Protocol.

Claim form received today and have a couple of questions. Could I request a court local to my residential address?

Secondly, what defence would be the best way forward, one based on lack of information/signage both in casino establishment and car park or LBC letter not being set out as per Directive, or both?

If any of this is covered in Newbie forum I apologise, I have gone blurry with all the information

use one of the typical CEL template defences and adapt it , include as many legal arguments as you can

DO NOT fill in the claim form , DO NOT complete it either
it will be emailed as a pdf once completed

do the AOS online and then start drafting your defence based on typical CEL defences from that NEWBIES thread

You say you read up on this in the Newbies FAQ thread then gone on to ask for help on questions all covered there!

#2 covers court claims from lbcca to the hearing with advice on what to do and when as well as advice and links for constructing defences

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts against you

edit post #1 and put that right

also ensure the following words are not used

    "MY , ME , MYSELF & I"

put the DRIVER for what happened on the day , plus the KEEPER for all subsequent paperwork

stop using a phone and use a laptop , this is serious business !

ps:- you will be requesting your local court at the DQ stage, so forget about that aspect for now, concentrate on the AOS and the draft defence

There is a winning CEL case on the forum first page right now (struck out by the Judge), and LOADS more if you search the forum.
