Shame that Past performance is not a guide to future performance,, isn't it?
Actually its more like 'Past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance'. The word necessarily is important because past performance is actually as good as any measure in helping to choose a fund. It certainly what I use in different forms0 -

But you can only tell if this is one of the cases it does apply in retrospect, which doesn't help much.

After region and sector analysis, there is only really historic data to go on. My point is really that it is pointless doing the level of analysis indicated ( a bit tongue in cheek I think) further up this thread.....0 -
I'm intending to leave HL shortly but having looked at iWeb and II find that iWeb is better for me.
