We bought a new fire last year, we did lots of research in lots of showrooms, the "fireboxes" seem to come in set sizes. You will need a CORGI regidtered installer to replace the fire so why not pick their brains up front and get the advice about what to look for?
Good luck I hope the house doesn't fall down LOL.0 -
Update:
The chimney sweep has just been and condemned my chimneys
The two fireplaces are leaking into each other's chimneys. My choices are:
Have liners fitted - v.expensive.
Replace both fires with no chimney type gas fires.
I'm completely stumped now. Please send help
de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar
