Dont know if I have understood the info correctly so I c and p the figures below.
according to tiscali my internet usage for 14 days is:
18313.958 Mb upload
24011.835 Mb download
They have capped me saying I am a heavy user.
Does 1GB=8192Mb ? if it does then I am only using 6GB ? I think
Or have I worked that out wrong?
I am paying for them £18 pm which is expensive If I have worked it out correctly.
Have I gaffed?

1Gb is 1024Mb, therefore you have a total through traffic of 41.33Gb which is heavy when you consider that most people only use 3-5 Gb per MONTH
remember your quota will be in Gigabytes and not Gigabits,0 -
opps! oh dear looks like between me, hubby, teenagers and older son we get through a lot.
80 GB a month !!! now I understand why tiscali are complaining:o
maybe a business tariff is what we need!!
Thank you0 -
or stop downloading all of them games and movies (which are normally 4gb each on average)
maybe worth getting a pice of software to see how much you are using. and also if you have wireless then encrypt the signal to stop others from using it without your kowledgeSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
The biggest increase is usually caused by P2P, I would suggest a quiet word with your offspring to desist for a wee while, though you may want to get everyone to input their data into the WebUser bandwidth calculator to see where the problems lie0

See this thread to keep an eye on your actual usage. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
