Hi all... good to see the site back up.
Last Friday evening, I was unlucky enough to click on a link to IEDefender by mistake and it infected my PC with Malware. (The program says it cleans up your PC, junk, temp files etc).
The program makes your search engine corrupt and directs you to links you don't want. It also slows down your searches.
Now, from googling (and getting slow searches) I was able to get rid of this malware.
The program may be ok if u buy the full version etc etc, but as a freebie, it is malware.
I am sure someone can post some removal tools and links.

SpywareBlaster and Spybot should help reduce/prevent these problems in future by blocking known spyware from being downloaded.
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
Hope this helps...0 -

Interesting site that boutiqu3, however there doesn't appear to be a fix listed for "affiliate spam". Oops, my mistake, just spotted it. Spy Sweeper apparently takes care of that as well.
