Return LED lightbulb to Amazon after 12 months.

I bought a LED "cornbulb" from Amazon for around £14.
It has been used on average an hour a day - so it has basically broken after roughly 365 hours.
Any advice on returning it - there is no "return this item" on the order - I guess because it was "ages" ago.
This bulb however, is not as described and not fit for purpose.
"Long life span, can last up to 5-10 times longer than CFL bulb or incandescent bulb;"
Any advice appreciated.

I don’t mean to state the blindingly obvious, but contact amazon on their website?

Sure but that says "After 30 days you won't be able to return items via the Online Returns Centre. You may wish to visit the manufacturer's website or contact them directly for support on the issue with the product."
I guess under the CRA, I should still have a claim against Amazon?0 -
And how do you prove it hasn't been on 24 hours a day for the last year?Sure but that says "After 30 days you won't be able to return items via the Online Returns Centre. You may wish to visit the manufacturer's website or contact them directly for support on the issue with the product."

If you want to use consumer rights then it means jumping through some hoops first. best just contact the manufacture, they will probably just give you a new one without much fuss.0 -

The life of a bulb is usually affected by the length of time it's in use and the number of times its switched on and off.0

They always quote the expected lifetime in hours, what was it for this bulb?
If it lasted significantly less then yes contact the manufacturer.0 -
It's a lightbulb. Buy another.0

True.
I've been using energy saving lamps by major bulb manufactures in places I've worked in since 1986.
I've yet to see one fully go the distance recommended by the manufacture. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!
