Hi yes it is their Knutsford address. If it does go to court would I have to attend even though I reside in Glasgow?
If you were in England or Wales and it went to court, it would be at your local court.

But surely you understand that it won't be going to court?

Did you see my post #7? They cannot pursue a Scottish resident through the English courts. Devolution has some benefits, you know (though the legal system has always been separate anyway).

I watched the second reading and just recently got around to reading the Hansard record. In helping one of my wife's carers to avoid paying a PCN (with the help of this forum) I was dealing with BwLegal.
All the malpractrices mentioned in the debate were experienced by me. I sent a detailed account to the SRA and eventually got a response saying that they could identify no evidence of malpractice.
MP Mr Stephen Doughty said in the debate that he was reporting these self same things to SRA. I wish him luck. I'm not one of his constituents but I have emailed him to tell him of my experience with the SRA.

I got the same reply a couple of years ago. The SRA seem to set the bar very high when it comes to firms who act for PPCs.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Hi I know I am probably sounding really daft and have reasearched 'out with jurisdiction but should I still be replying to the Letter Before Claim from Gladstones solicitors even though I reside in Scotland ?
    Thanks

You must respond and point out the ANPR images are wrong, and that your and your car have never been to that location, and you live in Glasgow where your car is used.

Also add in the threat to report their client to the ICO, as per this post:

HTH - do that, don't sit on it, don't wait.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
