Help Out Of Range Asus Vw192s+dell 5150

hi i hope someome can help me as i have jsut switched on my pc which is a dell dimension 5150 with an asus vw192s monitor which keeps dispaying the message, out of range.
it keeps flashing and moving from corner to corner on my screen. i also have a radeon x300/x550 graphocs card which has been in the pc since i bought this from dell.
i am also running vista premium.
i have not had this problem before and have had this pc and asus moitor about 10 months.
hope someone out there has any idea what this is and thanks for any help and advice!

I would guess that the graphics has been adjusted somehow to the point that the monitor cannot display them. Run the pc in safe mode, hit F8 on startup and then go into the display properties and adjust them back,perhaps to 1024 x 768,,, re-boot and hopefully problem solved....
