Hi,

I'd be really grateful for any advice please. Bullet points, to keep it simple -

- I've got 3 mortgage-style student loans from 93-96.
- I was deferring until May 2013 when I phoned up SLC having not received my deferment forms, to be told the debt's been sold to Erudio and to contact them.
No thanks.

- Last month I notice a search from Erudio on my credit report. Then the phone calls begin.
- If they put anything in writing to me I will respond with a CCA request, but until then I have blocked their number.

HOWEVER, even though I've been on the voters roll at my current address since 2016, and Erudio must know that since they did the search, my last known address for the SLC is from 2013 and different, so I'm concerned that Erudio may only send correspondence to my old SLC address and go for a backdoor CCJ without my knowing.

So, Has anyone seen Erudio do court yet? Does anyone know if Erudio go for CCJ's?

I am still eligible for deferment, and have been since 2013. But I refuse to sign their ridiculous new deferment forms as I never had an agreement with them, only SLC. I will not make contact with them over the phone or acknoweldge the debt, so close to it (hopefully?) being statute barred May next year.

Thanks for your help,

*edit - also, the first 93 loan is now 25yrs old, and I think I read somewhere that the loan is written off after 25yrs, but as I'm technically 'in arrears' since 2013 I don't think that applies anyway? I'm very confused about the whole thing, and really appreciate any pointers you guys can give me.
